Vishwadarshana Education Society was setup and registered in the year 1992 in Yellapur, Uttar Kannada district with the aim of imparting education to the children of the region. It is situated in the Western Ghats surrounded by pristine hills and forests. The society is presently running a Boys school at Idagungi and a Nursery school, an English medium school, a Girls High school and a Pre University College at Yellapur.We have commenced D.Ed. courses, duly recognized by state and central Government Agencies. We are also running a school of Nursing at Ankola.

Yellapur has large population of backward tribes and downtrodden communities especially Siddies .Vishwadarshana Education Society has earned reputation as a pioneer educational institution imparting free general education to all sections of people in the region specially Siddies(nigros),Kunabi,Hallakkivakaligas and Gowlis.We do not receive any kind of grant or aid from the state or central Government.

We have ambitious plans to construct our own building to house the school of Nursing, which is presently in rented premises, with a Hostel and 100-bed hospital.Padmabhushana Dr. K.J.Yesudas has recently laid the foundation stone for the same. We have purchased land in Yellapur for proposed women’s hostel.

These tasks cannot be fulfilled without help from the benevolent public. We therefore appeal to your goodself to kindly donate generously to the cause of educating the poor.
